The Asian food store, 99 Ranch, located in Frisco, TX has been one of my most rewarding projects to work on during my time at Ridgemont. Ridgemont Commercial Construction is an actual family, and that is not something you find in the average work place.
ADVICE FOR NEW HIRES/POTENTIAL EMPLOYEES? CAREER LESSONS YOU’VE LEARNED THUS FAR?
My advice is to always ask questions and never say no to doing more work. When you’re a young professional it can be a little intimidating to step into a new work environment, but you just have to adjust which may take some time. However, showing a willingness to want to learn and improve is the first step to becoming the professional you want to be in the future. Don’t wish it to be easier, work to be better.
WHAT GETS YOU OUT OF BED IN THE MORNING?
What gets me out of bed in the morning is that each day I wake up knowing that I am laying out the proper foundation for my future family.
HOW DO YOU DEFINE SUCCESS?
Make yourself at least 1% better each day, the key is by taking small steps. This way by the end of the year you can be 365% better than you were the year before. Success is in the details and those details influence the bigger things in life.
IF YOU COULD PICK UP A NEW SKILL WHAT WOULD IT BE?
I would love the opportunity to learn to speak Spanish fluently.
“Do what you have to do now, so you can do what you want to do later.” - Denzel Washington
WHAT IS ON YOUR BUCKET LIST?
I would love to travel all over the United States, and then travel the world with my family. I want to be able to live abroad for a period of time and experience a different world view and culture.
WHAT ARE YOUR HOBBIES/INTERESTS?
I have a passion for ALL sports. I am a huge New Orleans Saints football fan and The Mean Green of The University of North Texas. I also enjoy watching some SEC football to cheer on the LSU Tigers, or flipping over to watch the Big 12 and root for the Oklahoma Sooners. It has been a long standing tradition with my dad to attend the Cotton Bowl Classic every year here in Dallas, TX. It is something that I look forward to all year long.
